Standard Features On United Mechanical Testing Machines

Table Model STM Series
Machines are available in two standard load frame capacities:
- 50 kN (11,250 Lbf)
- 100 kN (22,500 Lbf)
The United "Smart-1" STM model is a computer inclusive electromechanical testing system designed to work in conjunction with a variety of United test instruments and software, written specifically for different types of sample material including ceramics, plastics, polymers, metals and composites. The STM series features a wider distance between columns than SSTM and may be ordered with a lower capacity load-weighing system if required. Other options include extended column height and extra wide distance between columns. The STM may be operated on your own sturdy test bench or order a test stand from United.
Floor Model SFM Series
United Floor Model Smart-1 Machines are the logical choice when maximum crosshead travel and load frame capacity are required. The SFM models offer a choice of four standard load frame capacities.
- 100 kN (22,500 Lbf)
- 150 kN (33,750 Lbf)
- 300 kN (67,500 Lbf)
- 600 kN (135,000 Lbf)
Lower capacity load cells may be fitted to any United load frame.
Multi-Station Model MS Series
Two words best describe the benefits afforded by United's multi-station testing sytems: HIGH PRODUCTIVITY. Test up to six samples at once for the cost of about two stand-alone units.
Each test system is a computer-inclusive unit that is capable of testing up to six samples simultaneously. Data from each sample are recorded in real time by United's data acquisition, reduction and machine control system. The multi-station testing system is recommended for high-volume repetitive testing of plastics, lapshear, film, elastomers and thin metals. The 60-degree angled frame configuration allows easy sample loading. The system is available with pneumatic gripping systems, clamping extensometry devices, strain gage load cells and sample measuring devices. Capacity: up to 5,000 lbf ( 22 kN) per station.

Hydraulic Speedy Series
The United Digital Speedy Tester Model LCH-150KN is a, hydraulic testing machine incorporating a highly accurate, built-in digital information system for the display of test data. Designed to perform a variety of tests, the versatile, easy-to-use Speedy Tester can be fitted with various types of grips and fixtures to accommodate a wide range of materials and applications.
This portable series of Speedy Tester offers a maximun force capacity of 150kN (33,500 Lbf) with load rate ranging from 100 lbf/min (44kN/min) to 40,000 lbf/min (178kN/min). Return speed is 4 in/min (102mm/min) with piston travel distance of 4.5 inches (121mm).
Hydraulic SHFM Series
United High Capacity Smart Hydraulic Floor Model (SHFM) universal testing machines with computer control are available with capacities from 300 kN (67,500 Lbf) to 2,000 kN (450,000 Lbf). Product Specs
